Encouraging and Nurturing Supportive Sibling Relationship's

As Parents, Grandparents, Aunties , Uncles and Carers, it is our role to lead the way with teaching our kids to encourage and support each one another. And I feel the need to start with the statement,

'LIFE IS NOT FAIR'

And it is not, as adults we understand this, all playing fields are not all equal, we don't always get what what we feel we deserve, the good guy/gal doesn't always win and that's just life. Therefore teaching our kids that all things are or should be equal between themselves and their siblings and peers, does not support an emotionally well adjusted and healthy outlook on life. What is required here is displaying and teaching compassion, how to lift someone up when they are down, how to make a positive difference in someone else's life, how to encourage and support each other in the times when 'life is not fair'. Be the model for compassion and support. The truth is our kids want to be like us. This is how we teach our kids to support each other, its when the 'chips are down', and the times are tough. when this becomes a default behaviour it naturally transfers to celebrating each others achievements and wins. #happysupportivefamalies #therealityoflife #moretonbayarttherapy
