Art Therapy for Grief and Bereavement

It is normal to find it difficult to talk to adults or children about grief or death. It is often hard to know what to say or how to answer difficult questions. Art Therapy can be use to help navigate the emotions of grief and loss. This is especially beneficial with children who suffer loss, providing them with a platform for communication where they otherwise may not have the ability to find the words to match their feelings. Art therapy can be used to help understand loss, and to create opportunity to remember and celebrate a loved one and the activities that where shared together.

Family Art Therapy is beneficial to grieving families, giving all family members a better understanding of each other and the ability to move into the future as a well supported unit.
